Category : Events
The EQUAL-IST initiatives to fill the gender gap in the student population of ICT degree courses and the extension of the Summer Camp Ragazze Digitali in the city of Reggio Emilia were presented during the event “Ragazze Digitali RUN4FUTURE”, organized by Unimore and European Women Management Development Association in collaboration with the Training and Employment Agency IFOA at the Reggio Emilia Technopole on 30th March 2019.
The event was an opportunity to meet some students from previous courses, now graduating, and some of the Godmothers of Digital Girls (Giovanna Manca of AVIO, Emma Pietrafesa and Lara Oliveti of MELAZETA) who supported them from the first moment. On this occasion the program and the activities planned for the Summer Camp 2019 from 17 June to 12 July were presented with a focus on topics related to study and digital professions. The intervention of local companies with a high digital innovation content will be provided to testify to the interest and palatability of this world of work. Some classes from the higher institutes of the province of Reggio Emilia participated also in the event. This day of promoting the Digital Girls Camp will become a permanent format with an annual appointment in Reggio Emilia.
More than 160 students of the high schools attended the event along with their teachers. Local politicians and entrepreneurs participated as speakers at the event.
