Vasiliki Moumtzi is an Informatics and Communications engineer with an MSc degree at the faculty of Computing, Information Systems & Mathematics of Kingston University from London. She is working for more than 9 years as a Project Manager for EU research projects, in the field of ICT. She has technically and administrative supported but also coordinated a series of projects in relation to ICT, for the provision of innovative services and products. Her experience, also include the development of competitive and market analysis, dissemination, business and deployment plans, for the actual exploitation of research results. She acquired highly specialized expertise in new information technologies, as well as managerial and communication skills by working in power management projects requiring concerted co-operation between multiple organizations and coordinating dynamic working groups.

Charalampos (Mpampis) holds an M.Sc. Degree in Political Analysis and a Bachelor Degree from the Faculty of Political Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Faculty of Social and Political Science of Paris Londron University of Salzburg, Austria. He has participated as Research Assistant to the Global Exports Study, University of Loughborough – University of Macedonia, to “The shadow economy (Black Economy) in Greece: size, reasons, and impact”, under the Thales Programme for Strengthening Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation. Moreover, he was a Researcher for the Hellenic National Election Studies | Hellenic Voter Study – January 2015 I Hellenic Voter Study – September 2015, both organized by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with the University of Michigan and ISCTE IUL-Lisbon University as the funding bodies. He has organized, presented and attended several national and international conferences and workshops. His interest in research lies in the area of Political and electoral analysis, the axis of electoral competition in Europe, the populism phenomenon, Voter and Candidate Studies, VAAs and Survey Methodology. He is currently the Dissemination/Communication Manager of the EQUAL-IST Project.

Agostino Cortesi, PhD in Computer Science, full professor, is Dean of the School for Social Work and Public polices, vice-director of DAIS (Department of Informatics, Statistics and Environmental Sciences) and former vice-rector (External Affairs) of UNIVE. His main research interests concern programming languages theory and static analysis techniques, with particular emphasis on security applications. He published more than 100 papers in high level international journals and proceedings of international conferences. He was also member of several program committees for international conferences (e.g., SAS, VMCAI, CSF) and of editorial boards of scientific journals (Computer Languages, Systems and Structures, Journal of Universal Computer Science). He currently holds the chair of “Software engineering” and “Program Analysis and Verification” in the Computer Science programme at Ca’ Foscari, and the chair on “Computer Networks and Information Systems” in the Business Administration programme. Prof. Cortesi has coordinated the study and publication of the volume “Women in Informatics” in 2012 and has led the Informatica SaràLei (She will be ComputerScientist) project (website, video and raising awareness events to attract girls to ICT) with the Regional Commission for Equal Opportunities.

Maria Sangiuliano, PhD in Cognitive and Learning Studies, is working as a Research Fellow at DAIS (Department of Informatics, Statistics and Environmental Sciences) Università Ca’ Foscari since June 2016. She is a senior gender & innovation researcher and project manager interested in the intersections between social and technological innovation to make innovation policies and processes more sustainable and inclusive through gender and diversity sensitive co-design and implementation. Maria has been leading the Citizen Focus Action Cluster of the EIP (European Innovation Partnership) on smart cities and communities since May 2015. She has cooperated with many EU level NGOs, universities and research centres as well as international consultancies and agencies, in Italy and abroad, in the framework of EU funded projects on gender equality in innovation and regional development since the year 2002 both in the role of project designer, project coordinator, and researcher. She has also a passion for entrepreneurship with a social value and she is currently co-founder and CEO at Smart Venice, a recently started up company active in the sustainable tourism/culture sectors.

Dr. Elena Gorbacheva completed her PhD in 2016 at the University of Muenster (Muenster, Germany). Elena holds BSc and MSc degrees in Business Informatics (both with honours) from the State University – Higher School of Economics (Moscow, Russia) and a MSc degree in Information Systems (IS) from the University of Muenster. In her PhD thesis Elena addressed the existing challenges of under-representation of girls and women in IS, as well as under-theorization and immaturity of the gender and IS research field. Her research was published in the Business and Information Systems Engineering journal, Enterprise Information Systems Journal, Australasian Journal of Information Systems, Communications of the Association for Information Systems, and several IS conferences. Elena was awarded the Leoni Warne Prize for Outstanding Publication in the Area of Women and IT in 2014 and the AIS (Association of Information Systems) Doctoral Student Service Award in 2015.

Reima Suomi is a professor of Information Systems Science at University of Turku, and a part-time professor at Huazhong Normal University, Wuhan, Hubei, China, as well as a guest professor in Wuhan University of Business and Technology. He has been a professor at Turku School of Economics and Business Administration, Finland since 1994.
He is a docent for the universities of Turku and Oulu, Finland. Years 1992-93 he spent as a “Vollamtlicher Dozent” in the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, where he led a research project on business process re-engineering. Winter semester 2013-2014 he was a visiting professor at University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and at spring 2013 a visiting researcher at University of Münster, Germany. Currently he concentrates on topics around management of networked activities, including issues such as management of telecommunication networks, electronic and mobile services, virtual organizations, telework and competitive advantage through telecommunication-based information systems. Different governance structures applied to the management of IS and are enabled by IS belong too to his research agenda, as well as application of information systems in health care.
Reima Suomi has together over 500 publications, and has published in journals such as Communications of the Association for Information Systems, CIN: Computers, Informatics, Nursing, Information & Management, Information Services & Use, Technology Analysis & Strategic Management, The Journal of Strategic Information Systems, Behaviour & Information Technology, Journal of Management History, Orthopaedic Nursing and Information Resources Management Journal. He has edited books for several publishers including Springer and Routledge. For the academic year 2001-2002 he was a senior researcher “varttunut tutkija” for the Academy of Finland, and the year 2013 he was on a sabbatical made possible by the Finnish professor grant system (Professoripooli). He is the founder of the conference series Well-being in the Information Society (WIS), active since 2006.

Brita Somerkoski, PhD in Education is working as a Senior Research Fellow in the University of Turku and her work is in two Faculties: Turku School of Economics and Faculty of Educational Sciences. Earlier she has also been working in the National Institute for Health and Welfare. Her research area is curriculum development, safety and security in education, usability studies and gamification in the ISS context as well as multi-cultural issues. Lately Brita has been involved in EU funded projects BaltPrevResilience and EVAPREM. Currently she shares her work in the EQUAL-IST project with PhD Olli Sjöblom.

Olli Sjöblom graduated at the Turku School of Economics, Department of Marketing, at the program of Foreign trade and Economic communication receiving his Master’s degree in International marketing. Later on, when continuing his studies, he received his Ph.D. in Information Systems Science at the Turku University School of Economics He is a project researcher at the Turku University School of Economics in the Department of Information Systems Science. His research interests are flight safety and data mining, applying aviation safety methods also to other areas like healthcare. He has worked as an Inspector in the Unit of Analysis and Investigation at the Finnish Civil Aviation Authority and a project researcher at the Turku University School of Economics as well as the University of Eastern Finland at the Department of Health and Social Management. His research has been published in international conference proceedings and journals.

Danguole Rutkauskiene is an Associate Professor at the Department of Multimedia Engineering (Faculty of Informatics) at Kaunas University of Technology and expert of Education at Baltic Education Technology Institute (BETI).
She was a founder member of the National Association of Distance Education in Lithuania and currently is its President. Danguole Rutkauskiene is a member of the Management Committee of EADTU (European Association of Distance Teaching Universities), member of INFOBALT and other associations. She has been involved as a coordinator and partner in numerous national and international projects, participated and organized national seminars and conferences as well as international events. She is the author of 29 books, 174 articles on the educational subjects.
She has a particular interest in e-learning methodology, management and the use of advance learning technologies in universities and educational institutions. Recently, she has a big interest in MOOCs and actively participates in the researches of MOOCs in national and international levels. In addition, she has initiated and participated in the preparation and provision stages of three MOOCs.

Claudia Canali is a researcher at the Department of Engineering ‘Enzo Ferrari’ of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy) since 2008.
In the same university, she received her master degree (summa cum laude) in Information Engineering in 2002, while in 2006 she got her PhD degree in Information Technologies at the University of Parma. Her main research interests focus on online social networks, cloud computing, high performance distributed systems and wireless Mesh networks. In these fields, she published more than 50 papers in international conferences and journals.
Claudia Canali has taken part to several research projects at international and national level – among the european projects: Horizon 2020 Project EQUAL-IST – Gender Equality Plans for Information Sciences and Technology Research Institutions (2016-2019); FP7-SEC-2009 European Project VIRTUOSO – Versatile Information Toolkit for end-users oriented open-sources Exploitation (2010-2012). Moreover, she is one of the organizers of the summer camp ‘Ragazze Digitali’, now at the fourth edition, aimed at attracting more female students towards ICT-related studies.

Isabel Ramos is Associate Professor (PhD, Habilitation) at the Department of Information Systems of the University of Minho in Portugal.
She has a PhD in Information Technologies and Systems, specialization in Information Systems Engineering and Management, since 2001. Isabel Ramos is Director of the Doctoral Programme in Information Systems and Technologies and President of the Portuguese Association for Information Systems. Isabel Ramos is President of the Portuguese Chapter of the Association for Information Systems and the Secretary of the Technical Committee 8 (Information Systems) of IFIP – International Federation for Information Systems, as well as the Portuguese representative. She is member of the AIS Communications Committee and the AIS LEO award Committee. She was awarded the IFIP Outstanding Service Award and IFIP Silver Core Award.
Isabel Ramos coordinates the research group Information Systems and Technologies for the Transformation of Organizations and Society (ISTTOS) and the Thematic Research Stream Resilience and Agility of Organizations of the Algoritmi centre of the University of Minho. She advises several PhD and Master dissertations in the areas of Knowledge and Innovation Management and IST for Organizational Resilience. She is the principal researcher in several projects in partnership with Portuguese companies and governmental agencies as well as in European funded projects. She is author and co-author of 9 books and more than 100 scientific and technical papers.

Victor Barros is certificate as “International Engineering Educator” by International Society for Engineering Pedagogy (IGIP), Austria. He is member of several research groups, in particular: Information Systems and Technologies for the Transformation of Organizations and Society (ISTTOS) of the Algoritmi Centre of the University of Minho, Portugal; Labour Market Observatory for Information and Documentation of the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil; Competitive Intelligence and Strategies for Innovation of the Mackenzie University, Brazil; Digital Media, Design, Interactivity and Usability of the Paulista State University (UNESP), Brazil; and in Applied Computing of the Catarinense Federal Institute (IFC), Brazil.
